Surabaya, 02 May 2024 – National Education Day is a day set by the Indonesian government to commemorate one of the national heroes, Ki Hajar Dewantara.

In the spirit of commemorating National Education Day (Hardiknas), The Alana Surabaya held a CSR activity namely "Cooking and Barista Class" by inviting the Budhi Student Special School (SLB) located on Jalan Ahmad Yani No.222-A, Gayungan, Surabaya, Java East.

The event started at 12.00 WIB starting with remarks from Mr. Agus Anom Suroto as General Manager of The Alana Surabaya. Then continued with the provision of "Barista Class" material from Yhoga Alfianto as Food and Beverage Supervisor. In this Barista class, children are taught to make an "orange squash" drink, a drink that uses a combination of syrup, soda, orange and ice cubes. Meanwhile, for the "Cooking Class" hosted by Erfirosalina as Pastry Cook The Alana Surabaya, participants were invited to learn techniques for making delicious and appetizing donuts. The event closed with lunch together at Oryza Coffee Shop on the M floor of The Alana Surabaya.

"The main aim of this event is to provide education and new experiences for blind and deaf students and students. Through this activity, it is hoped that they can feel joy and enthusiasm for learning. The Alana Surabaya is also committed to continuing to support education for all groups, as well as strengthening relationships with the surrounding community.
