Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia (YKAKI) is a foundation that handles children with cancer. YKAKI provides a halfway house for patients and families who are undergoing inpatient or outpatient treatment. 

 

YKAKI itself has several branches in Indonesia, one of which is in the city of Yogyakarta. Participating in appreciating the struggle of children suffering from cancer, The Alana Yogyakarta Hotel & Convention Center, which is a 4 star hotel under the Hotel Archipelago network, held corporate social responsibility activities at YKAKI Yogyakarta.

 

This activity will be held on July 26 2024, located at YKAKI Yogyakarta. Starting at 15.00, 13 children at YKAKI were treated to an entertaining performance by a magic clown. After that, Chef Budi Wijaya as Executive Chef of The Alana Yogyakarta gave a cooking demo on how to make sushi dishes. All the children were very enthusiastic about taking part in this series of activities, which ended with giving prizes to all the children.

 

The gifts given to all the children at YKAKI are the items they want. Previously, on July 17 2024, representatives of The Alana Yogyakarta management conducted interviews with each child to get information about the items they wanted. These items include robes, school equipment, shoes, and even remote-controlled toy cars. 

 

"We are here this afternoon with the momentum of National Children's Day to appreciate the struggles of children, especially the children at YKAKI who are very inspiring. This is also our effort to be a blessing to people in need." Said Mrs Mira Kiranasi as General Manager of The Alana Yogyakarta Hotel & Convention Center.
