Solo, August 10, 2024 – In celebration of National Children's Day, the DanDolan Festival is once again being held in Solo on August 10-11, 2024, at Balaikota Solo with the theme "Protected Children, Advanced Indonesia." This event is specially designed for children and families to spend their weekends enjoying various activities, culinary delights, and arts showcased throughout the Balaikota Solo area.

 

The Alana Solo, as one of the four-star hotels in the city, actively participates in this year's DanDolan Festival by featuring Firman, the Executive Chef of The Alana Hotel Solo. In this opportunity, Chef Firman shared his knowledge about the culinary world, offering tips and tricks on selecting and preparing quality ingredients, along with a live cooking demonstration for the attending visitors. He emphasized the importance of choosing the right ingredients and understanding their shelf life to achieve high-quality and marketable dishes.

 

The special menu presented this time included Vegetable Spring Rolls and Oriental Chicken Wings, in collaboration with Modena Home Center Solo and Logan Food. The ingredients selected were those commonly found by mothers when shopping at the market, transformed into creative and aesthetically pleasing dishes.

 

The 1.5-hour cooking session and culinary discussion were highly appreciated by the visitors, as evidenced by the numerous questions posed and the enthusiasm of those who approached the demo table to get a closer look at the cooking process and capture the moment. Visitors were not only able to watch the chef cook but also had the opportunity to taste the dishes prepared by the chef during the event.
