Malang - August 18, 2024, Dewa 19 Sky Lounge owned by The Alana Hotel Malang successfully held its first Dewa song singing event. This event was part of the road to first anniversary of The Alana Hotel Malang.
Dewa 19 Sky Lounge is an outlet owned by The Alana Hotel Malang. Various activities have been held such as Jamming to Meet & Greet with legendary singers. Not only for fun and nostalgia but The Alana Hotel Malang also wants to provide a forum for people who have singing and musical talents. Previously, this outlet had also held a singing competition for the public with the genre of pop songs, with a total of 45 participants. This success wants to be repeated by making a singing competition according to the theme of this outlet, namely Dewa 19.
“The total number of participants until the day of the event was 50 people, divided into 2 junior and senior categories. We did not expect that this event echoed to Banyuwangi City. There were almost representatives from every city in East Java who participated. Even though the main target is Malang City and its surroundings” said Fiona Rose Firta as Assistant Public Relations Manager of The Alana Hotel Malang. The participants were challenged to sing a collection of songs from Dewa, Dewa 19 and Mahadewa. Given that Ahmad Dhani created many bands to always update from every generation to generation.
“I really support my child to participate in this competition. Because today's children are competing and focusing on current songs only. Whereas there are many legendary old songs such as Dewa whose songs are timeless and of course the technique of singing and animating them cannot be originated. Therefore, it is an opportunity for my child to explore more to improve his singing ability," said Wahyuni, one of the mothers who accompanied her child to the competition.
On this occasion, the General Manager of The Alana Hotel Malang also gave a little motivation to the parents who accompanied “I am sure the parents here are the proudest and happiest parents to see their children work. The first place and best performance was won by Manggala Adiguna Wibawa from Malang City who sang the song Arjuna. The winners received cash prizes, trophies, and vouchers to stay at The Alana Hotel Malang. In the future, this activity will be held as an annual competition at Dewa 19 Sky Lounge owned by The Alana Hotel Malang to create and raise superior seeds in the world of music.
