As part of our commitment to ensure safety and preparedness of all staff, The Alana Sentul Hotel organizes firefighting training on September 23, 2024. This important event was well attended by employees from all hotel divisions, strengthening the hotel's resolve to maintain highest safety standards for guests and staff.
This training is designed to equip participants with knowledge and skills needed to deal with fire situations. One of the main focuses of training is to extinguish the fire using a special fire-resistant cloth. This technique is considered as one of the basic but very important skills, which can be used to deal with small fires before they get bigger and harder to control.
Practical Training on Using Light Fire Extinguisher (APAR)
The second part of the training introduces the use of a fire extinguisher (APAR). Participants were given an understanding of the various types of fire extinguishers, as well as the types of fires that each type of tool is suitable for handling—both fires and fire extinguishers due to electrical short circuits, flammable liquids, or solid materials. Under the supervision of professional firefighting team, participants are also trained to practice techniques "PULL", i.e. Pull, Aim, Squeeze, and Swing, to make sure they can use APAR effectively when dealing with real fire situations.
