Depok, Yogyakarta, 25 September 2024 – The Alana Malioboro Team, led by General Manager Joezar Rinaldi, proudly participated in a significant sea conservation event at Goa Cemara Beach. This event, organized in collaboration with the Goa Cemara Conservation Team, aimed to raise awareness and actively contribute to the preservation of sea turtles and the marine ecosystem.
The day’s activities commenced with an informative session on sea turtle conservation, conducted by the dedicated members of the Goa Cemara Conservation Team. Participants learned about the critical role sea turtles play in maintaining healthy ocean ecosystems and the urgent need to protect these magnificent creatures.
Following the educational session, the team had the heartwarming experience of releasing sea turtles back into their natural habitat. This symbolic act underscored the importance of conservation efforts and the collective responsibility to safeguard marine life.
The event concluded with a beach clean-up, where participants worked together to remove debris and litter from the shoreline, further emphasizing the commitment to preserving the beauty and health of Goa Cemara Beach.
Mr. Timan, the founder of the Goa Cemara Conservation Team, expressed his deep gratitude for The Alana Malioboro’s unwavering support. “We are incredibly thankful for The Alana Malioboro’s consistent dedication to sea turtle conservation at Goa Cemara Beach. As part of their CSR efforts, The Alana Malioboro has provided financial assistance for the operational needs and development of the sea turtle hatchery. Additionally, plans are underway to renovate the hatchery, originally established by The Alana Malioboro in 2015, to enhance its facilities and support the ongoing conservation efforts.
