In a country rich in history and struggle, Heroes' Day serves as an important moment to honor the sacrifices of national heroes who fought for Indonesia's independence and sovereignty. As a form of respect, The Alana Hotel & Convention Center Yogyakarta held a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity to commemorate Heroes' Day.
The Alana Yogyakarta, a four-star hotel located on Jalan Palagan Tentara Pelajar KM.7, Yogyakarta, carried out two CSR activities aimed at making a real contribution to veterans and the local community. These actions included a donation for the renovation of the Indonesian Veterans Legion (LVRI) office and a blood donation drive for the public at The Alana Yogyakarta. The goal of these CSR activities was to appreciate the struggles of the heroes while inspiring humanitarian actions within the community.
The first CSR activity took place on November 8, 2024, when General Manager of The Alana Yogyakarta, Mrs. Mira Kiranasasi, along with management representatives, visited the LVRI office in Yogyakarta. During the visit, a symbolic donation was made, along with expressions of gratitude before the building renovation project commenced. Renovation work is scheduled to begin on November 9 and is expected to be completed by November 30, 2024.
"Through this activity, we hope to contribute to creating a comfortable environment for the veterans who have dedicated themselves to fighting for Indonesia's independence," said Mrs. Mira Kiranasasi, General Manager of The Alana Yogyakarta Hotel & Convention Center.
Through this CSR action, The Alana Yogyakarta not only seeks to support veterans as national heroes but also invites the community to care as well. The Alana Yogyakarta remains committed to being part of community development and making meaningful contributions to the community and veterans.
In addition to the above activity, on November 12, 2024, The Alana Yogyakarta will hold a public blood donation drive at the Le Papito Coffee, Pastry, and Eatery area at The Alana Yogyakarta. This event, which will take place from morning to afternoon, invites the local community to participate and contribute to this important humanitarian cause. The blood donation drive represents solidarity and social concern for others, particularly those in need of medical assistance.
